Originally from Iraq, and after living in several countries in the Middle East, I arrived in Sweden in 2007 and finally settled down in Gothenburg in 2011. Since day one in the wonderful west coast city, I felt inspired by its musical spirit. Gothenburg is known for its metal scene, and that speaks for itself. I was a guitarist in a metal band for approximately 8 years, and the feeling of going on stage and knowing who had played there some year before can bring nothing but pure wonder and appreciation to an already exciting experience.
Music has helped me a lot during difficult times of my life, and it is only natural to give back the same way
In 2018, I did something that changed my life as a musician. I have loved writing music for as long as I can remember, and when I started singing over my compositions, it unlocked a new level of expressiveness, which is something that I strive to be better at every day. By 2020 it was clear to me that it was time to go solo, and take the music adventure into another direction. Today I am a singer/songwriter, and that is all I’ll ever say to describe myself as a musician. Genre, lyrical theme and other aspects of music are all dependent on each song and are never predefined. Music to me is the ultimate form of freedom, and the last thing I want to do is to put any bars or walls around it.
